October, 2020
What identifies you as a follower of Jesus Christ? In Paul’s letter to the church at Philippi, and in Matthew’s gospel as well, we find a number of key attributes that tell others we belong to Jesus.
The first Sunday of October is traditionally known as World Communion Sunday. The words of consecration we use in the United Methodist Church further illustrate the unity of these attributes: “… one with Christ, one with each other, one in mission to all the world…”
Join me as we explore what it means to find our primary identity in Jesus Christ this month.
